Patagonia CEO steps down

Patagonia President and CEO Rose Marcario is stepping down from the outdoor clothing retailer after 12 years with the company.

Marcario was named CEO in February 2014. She previously worked as chief operating officer and chief financial officer for the company.

"Circumstances around the pandemic created a natural inflection point for reimagining our business, and Rose and the board felt it made sense for those who would be carrying that work forward to step in now and lead the process of reimagining the company," a spokesperson for the company said.
