Gov. Mike Parson signed a $4.5 billion midyear budget adjustment after approval from the legislature.
The bill includes money Parson requested to raise base pay for all state workers to $15 per hour. It also gives a raise of 5.5% to all current employees.
“This bill not only gives our dedicated state team members a long overdue pay increase but also appropriates critical funding to our K-12 schools and child care system,” Parson said in a statement.
