Gov. Mike Parson is expected to urge Missouri lawmakers to pass legislation that would increase pay for state workers.
Legislators will be asked to OK a 5.5% raise for all workers, as well as set a base minimum of $15 per hour for hourly employees, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Missouri's government reportedly is struggling to fill vacant jobs.
