Gov. Mike Parson’s pick for the state's health chief is facing backlash from anti-vaccination activists.
The activists falsely alleged Donald Kauerauf wants to force all Missourians to get vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. A Monday rally urged the Senate to vote down his appointment as director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
Since his hiring in July to replace Randall Williams, Kauerauf has said he supports vaccinations but not mandatory jabs.
