Parson, other governors ask Biden to cut student loan forgiveness plan

A group of Republican governors, including Missouri's Mike Parson, are calling on President Joe Biden to call off his student loan forgiveness program.

A letter sent to Biden indicates the governors support "making higher education more affordable" but don't want to "force American taxpayers to pay off the student loan debt of an elite few."

Biden's plan caps relief at $20,000 for those who received Pell grants.
