Parson's order follows Attorney General Eric Schmitt's announcement this week that his office would file suit against the rule requiring federal contractors to enforce a vaccine mandate.
House Minority Leader Crystal Quade, D-Springfield, said in a statement: “The governor’s executive order appears carefully crafted to do absolutely nothing — except promote the attorney general’s latest frivolous lawsuit at taxpayer expense.”
Sen. Bob Onder, a St. Charles County Republican who opposes vaccine and mask mandates, echoed the sentiment that the executive order lacks teeth.
