Gov. Mike Parson has appointed a pair of locals to state boards.
The governor announced in a news release late last week that Bob Hosutt, of Nixa, was appointed to the State Rehabilitation Council and Jill Patterson, of Springfield, was named to the Child Abuse Neglect and Review Board.
Hosutt owns Work Solutions LLC and previously served as regional senior manager for Union Pacific Railroad's health and medical department.
The State Rehabilitation Council works with Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation to advocate for people with disabilities, according to its website.
Patterson is currently senior attorney for Legal Services of Southern Missouri and previously served as development director for the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame and as assistant prosecuting attorney for both Greene and Christian counties.
The Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board independently reviews child abuse and neglect determinations in examples where the alleged perpetrator is aggrieved by the outcome of a Missouri Department of Social Services Children's Division decision, according to its website.
