Gov. Mike Parson is accusing House leadership of engaging in a “purposeful and disgusting scheme to embarrass” him by barring the governor from delivering his State of the State speech from the body's chambers.
Parson last week gave the annual speech in the Senate chambers. House members have cited coronavirus concerns for disallowing the speech to take place in its chambers.
Parson alleges his office was given last-minute notice of the changes.
