Reser replaces Bob Belote, who was promoted to assistant director of parks in January. Belote filled the void left by Jodie Adams, who became director of parks upon the retirement of Director Dan Kinney.
Reser has been with the park board since 1997, most recently as community recreation services administrator. Her professional background includes more than 15 years of management experience in administering recreation facilities, programs and special events.
Reser received her bachelor’s degree in business management from William Jewell College and her master’s degree in education with an emphasis in sports administration from the University of Kansas.
She is a certified parks and recreation professional and serves in leadership capacities with the boards of the National Recreation and Park Association, Missouri Park and Recreation Association, Springfield Sports Hall of Fame and the United States Tennis Association.[[In-content Ad]]
