Paris returns to business with tight security

Most of Paris will return to business on Monday, but under tough security measures that are likely to change the face of the city.

Following the deadly terrorist attacks that hit the city, the French government declared a state of emergency and announced three days of national mourning for the victims.

The emergency declaration gives Paris authorities exceptional powers, such as the right to set curfews and close public spaces.

The Paris stock exchange will open today with extra security measures in place. Shops, also, plan to reopen but expect slower business in the aftermath of the attacks.
