Papa John's International Inc. on Friday adopted a golden parachute plan designed to give top executives a substantial severance package if they are fired in the event of a buyout.
Formally called a change-of-control severance plan, the compensation committee of the pizza chain’s board adopted the initiative.
Papa John's CEO Steve Ritchie would receive payments equivalent to 36 months of his base salary under the plan.
