Panera Bread – Kansas City

Warren & Goodin Inc. handled the architecture, engineering and interior design for Original Bread LLC’s Panera Bread at Crown Center in Kansas City, which was completed last month. The general contractor is Ed Moore Construction of Gardner, Kan. The project is a 6,100-square-foot bakery café that is going into the first floor of an existing 15-story office building at Crown Center. Demolition of existing spaces was required to make way for the 3,700-square-foot dining area and 2,400-square-foot bakery. Also required was coordination of new utilities and HVAC with existing building systems, new interior finishes and lighting, and exterior structural and granite work to create a new exterior entrance.
