Panasonic is planning to break ground tomorrow on a $4 billion electric battery plant in the Kansas City area.
The facility will be built at a former ammunition plant site in De Soto, Kansas.
"We are looking into ways to strengthen our battery production capacity in North America and meet the growing demand from our automotive partners,” Panasonic Energy CEO Kazuo Tadanobu said.
