Japan’s Panasonic Corp. selected Kansas as the site for a multibillion-dollar electric vehicle battery plant.
The company plans to invest $4 billion in the plant in DeSoto, Kansas, which is located about 30 miles southwest of Kansas City.
The plant is expected to have around 4,000 employees.
