Panasonic halts some shipments to Huawei

Panasonic halted shipments of some components to Huawei as the latter company faces restrictions from the United States.

Officials with the company said it sent an "internal notification that it should suspend transactions with Huawei and its 68 affiliates that were banned by the U.S. government."

However, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. officials said they would continue to ship to HiSilicon, Huawei’s chip design affiliate.
