Paid leave perk for new parents growing at STL companies

Posted online
Some of the largest employers in the St. Louis area are expanding paid time off and other benefits for workers becoming new parents.

The list includes Anheuser-Busch, Nestle Purina PetCare and Monsanto, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Anheuser-Busch, for example, announced last week full-time salaried employees who become new mothers could take 16 weeks of paid time off after the birth of a child – up from eight under the previous policy.

Creve Coeur-based Monsanto, meanwhile, increased paid time off for parents from seven to 20 days if taken within the first 12 months of a child’s birth or adoption.
