Ozy Media founder Carlos Watson was arrested Thursday on fraud charges.
Watson allegedly "engaged in a scheme to defraud Ozy’s potential investors, potential acquirers, lenders and potential lenders," according to prosecutors for the Eastern District of New York.
Ozy allegedly misrepresented its audience numbers and financial results, according to the prosecutors.
