Ozy Media founder Carlos Watson was sentenced this week to nearly 10 years in prison for fraud.
A jury found Watson guilty in July of defrauding investors of the now-defunct startup.
"Watson chose deceit over candor, grasping for the illusion of business success and personal acclaim at any cost," said Breon Peace, U.S. attorney in Brooklyn.
