What is your job?

"I work with both buyers and sellers in the Springfield area and surrounding communities. I believe that any successful home sales hinges on one important factor, accurate information supplied to the seller on a timely basis. Communication is the foundation for success on all transactions," Pack said. She said business skills and determination are what makes a successful buyer's agent. "I will continue to show property until the perfect home' is found. I once had a buyer that looked at over 75 homes before they found the right match. I stuck with them and it proved to be a great relationship built and another satisfied client," she said.

How did you become interested in real estate as a career?

"I grew up in a real estate family. My parents are top producers with Realty Executives in Arizona. I always admired my mother, raising a family and building her career as a Realtor. I saw this as an opportunity to do the same," Pack said. "Real estate provides that opportunity for me to grow with my career and have the flexibility with my family." Pack has been a Springfield resident for more than 11 years. "It is a wonderful community to raise a family and call home," she said.

Tell us about your career history and education.

"I graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor of science in textiles and clothing. I went on to have a career in retail as a buyer for major department stores," Pack said. "After starting a family, the demand was tough balancing family and career. The hours were long and it involved travel. I then chose to get into direct sales with a national company, which then lead to my career in real estate."

How does Springfield's market compare to other markets?

"The Springfield market is very stable. There are not a great deal of highs and lows, which makes it easier to predict future sales. The appreciation has only gone up a few percent in the past couple of years. It makes it nice for buyers, as home sale prices are below the national average. It does make it somewhat more difficult for sellers if they need to sell after only owning their home for a few years," Pack said.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

"The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the smiles and knowing the happiness when a home buyer purchases a new home. To see and feel their excitement makes it all worthwhile," she said.

Tell us about your family.

Pack is married and has three children. "My husband Tim is a professor at SBU in Bolivar. My three children are Ashley, 14, Hunter, 8, and Mason, 4. We keep very busy with sporting activities. It is a constant question between Tim and I, Who's on first?'" she said.

How do you like to spend your free time?

"The free time I have is either spent with my husband and/or my children. We are at that point of our family life that is greatly taken up with the children's activities. We do like to travel, and we spend a great deal of our summer at the lake on our boat." she said.
