Medical Employment Directory of Springfield Inc. provides temporary and permanent medical staffing for Springfield and the surrounding communities. Its role is to simplify the hiring process and provide outstanding candidates for rewarding and challenging positions. We staff in clinical and clerical arenas, as well as physician recruitment. Recently, we added a new division Healthcare Companions to assist the local community and surrounding areas with private pay, professional home companion care. MED was established in 1984 in Kansas City; our local office was opened in 1996. Our success and phenomenal growth is the result of providing qualified applicants that meet or exceed our client's expectations. At MED, we define excellence in health care recruitment by the caliber of applicants we seek, the degree of challenge of the positions we encounter and the attentive ways in which we address the entire recruitment process. The entire medical field is a challenge in this day and age. Our goal at MED is to assist in searching for trained applicants who have the commitment to be there and to perform the job to the best of their ability. Our job is to prescreen and credential these applicants and match them with organizations that have the same commitment to quality and professionalism.|ret||ret||tab|

How do you deal with the challenges?|ret||ret||tab|
Each member of our health care recruitment team has a health care background. We attend local and national conventions in order to stay abreast of health care industry trends and developments. Our agency is extremely active in advertising open positions on our Web site and in local newspapers. In addition, we attend career days and work with college graduates and medical schools across the United States to advise them on how to best prepare for a medical career. We also attend trade shows to visit with health care employees who are ready to make a career move. |ret||ret||tab|

Health care is seeing a shortage in nursing and specialized physicians. The Midwest is becoming aggressive in recruitment of these individuals.|ret||ret||tab|

Our continued commitment to the health care industry keeps us striving to improve our recruitment of applicants who are dedicated to their field. I have been married for 30 years to Denny, who works for Varsity Contractors at Battlefield Mall. We have three children: KC, Julie and Leigha; five grandsons, two granddaughters and another granddaughter due in April. We enjoy camping and hiking. We are both active in our church. |ret||ret||tab|
