Tell us about your company.

For nearly 30 years ERA has set new standards in the real estate profession through customer-oriented services and technology. The ERA real estate network includes more than 28,000 brokers and sales associates throughout the United States and 26 other countries. ERA Jones-Rutherford Company is owned by Jerry Rutherford.

What is your job?

As a salesperson, I assist both buyers and sellers with all facets of purchasing or selling a home, beginning with a comparative market analysis, listing, obtaining affordable financing, if needed, and finally the closing of the sale where documents and monies are transferred. Marketing all types of residential, suburban acreages and commercial properties is rewarding.

How did you become involved in the real estate field?

In 1977 a friend who owned a small real estate company suggested I obtain my real estate license and work for his firm. I am also a licensed insurance broker in all lines.

What's your biggest professional challenge?

Matching the buyers with the home they have always dreamed of owning, and helping a seller through the listing process with a short marketing time. These events can be stressful for both buyer and seller, and I like to provide them with every possible advantage, so that the transaction goes as smoothly as possible.

What do you like most about your job?

Buying a home can be one of the most significant investments in life. Seeing the personal satisfaction and pride that homeowners feel when they have their own piece of the American dream is still rewarding after 26 years in the business.

Tell us about your family.

My husband is a retired educator from Springfield Public Schools. We own a farm and beef cattle operation in the Billings area. Our two sons and one grandson add joy to our world.

What are your hobbies?

Traveling is such a wonderful way to experience different people and places. The memories of warm, sunny beaches and snow capped mountains are the substance for beautiful daydreams. And then there is Lady Bear basketball, it is so much fun! Spending time with family and good friends is always a special pleasure.
