G & M Office Products Inc was established in l974, as a mom-and-pop store offering office supplies and furnishings at discount prices before discounting was popular. We have grown from one location at 1731 N. Glenstone Ave. to three locations, including 1904 S. Glenstone Ave. and 311 East 7th Street in Joplin. We offer office supplies, office furnishings, systems, filing and storage.|ret||ret||tab|

What is your job?|ret||ret||tab|

I am a design consultant for our clients. During our initial visit we do a needs assessments, discuss space planning, and material selection and coordination. I can manage the project for our clients if needed. Also, I am responsible for the installation of our products. I am a professional member of American Society of Interior Designers, member of the Springfield Design Association and Springfield Business Connection.|ret||ret||tab|

What attracted you to your career?|ret||ret||tab|

I have always enjoyed helping people. I can take a client's idea or dream for their new office and turn it into reality, creating a workplace that reflects their new image.|ret||ret||tab|

What are some of the challenges in your industry? |ret||ret||tab|

I am sure our challenges are similar to many other industries. We feel it is important to meet client demands for products and services in a timely fashion; at a fair price for the client while making a profit so G & M can continue to offer these products and services. |ret||ret||tab|

What are your hobbies and spare-time pursuits?|ret||ret||tab|

I tend to be a workaholic, but I enjoy walking, reading and spending time with my husband, Dennis, and his new motorcycle. I am also church treasurer for Mt. Olive United Methodist Church and working towards my CTM in Toastmasters.|ret||ret||tab|

I am happily married to Dennis. We have a small acreage west of Billings. We enjoy living in the country.|ret||ret||tab|

If you could choose another career, what would it be?|ret||ret||tab|

I doubt I would change career field, but possibly explore other areas of design. My sister and I have discussed going into business together.|ret||ret||tab|
