"KJI Enterprises provides medical-bill-review services for patients of all ages," Iman said. "I am also a subcontractor for the Southwest Missouri Office on Aging, assisting seniors in their homes with their paperwork and bill paying."|ret||ret||tab|

What prepared you for work in your field?|ret||ret||tab|

"I uncovered a nationwide Medicare fraud involving my grandmother's medical bills," Iman said. "I then realized that many people are overwhelmed with the complicated and confusing volumes of medical bill and insurance paperwork they receive. My experience working many years for CPA firms allowed me to begin reviewing medical bills on a contingency fee arrangement. If I don't find mistakes, my clients pay me nothing."|ret||ret||tab|

Is there a need for a prescription drug program to aid with costs?|ret||ret||tab|

Iman was appointed by Speaker of the House Jim Kreider to the Missouri Senior Rx Drug Commission that helped create the Missouri Senior Rx Drug Program to provide pharmaceutical assistance to seniors. She said, "So many of our seniors suffer both financially and physically due to the high costs of prescription drugs. It is wrong for any senior to have to choose between eating or taking their medicine. This is a very personal issue for me. I intend to work diligently toward finding a way to assist the thousands of affected seniors."|ret||ret||tab|

What is the best part of your job?|ret||ret||tab|

"My work allows me to meet so many really neat people that I might not meet otherwise," Iman said. She described it as "truly a joy" when she feels like she's been able help keep seniors in their homes longer, protect them from exploitation or just "get to be a part of their lives." She added, "When reviewing medical bills, it is very fulfilling when I save my clients money." She cited one client who had been paying $20 a month on a $2,400 bill that he didn't owe. "I enjoyed making that phone call," she said. Her favorite case, she added, was "the error I found where a male friend's insurance had paid 80 percent of his pap smear."|ret||ret||tab|
