President, Morris Oil Company Inc., 500 N. National, Springfield, a gasoline and heavy oil jobbership supplying Amoco, Total and Phillips gasoline, and Amoco, Shell Kendall and most other oils to a 54-county area including eastern Kansas and northern Arkansas. Morris Oil Co. owns and operates The Village Mart C-Stores. Carroll's affiliations include serving as president of the Missouri Bass Club Association, past president of System Builders Association, past board member of the Cerebral Palsey Center and inductee into the Muscular Dystrophy Association Hall of Fame of the Ozarks. He is also a member of the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport Users Advisory Council, a board member of the Ronald McDonald House and is on the advisory board for the Central Pro-Am Fishing Association. His professional affiliations include the Missouri Convenience Stores Association.

Early career: His first job was working for his father, who owned a wholesale fruits and vegetables business. In 1975, he became a partner in a retail sporting goods store called Athletes Inc. He ran the store, which was in the Southern Hills Shopping Center, until 1980. Carroll then began working for Bob Bell, at Bell Building Systems, a construction firm, and stayed there until 1986 as executive vice president. In 1986, he joined Morris Oil.
Current projects: Morris Oil has just completed building a new C-Store and rental spaces at Walnut Lawn and Campbell. "We're always looking for new sites. There are several more stores in design at the present time. We are set to build three more at any time," Carroll said.
Management philosophy: "Treat each employee, customer and family member as you would want to be treated yesterday, today and tomorrow."
Spare-time pursuits: Spending time with his family, including his daughter, Callie, who is 7 and enjoys baseball, basketball and soccer. Carroll is also involved in his church, Ridgecrest Baptist.
Family data: Wife, Margaret, is a teacher and coach at Logan-Rogersville Schools. Carroll has two daughters: Shannon Deckard, 28 and Callie Jo, 7. He also has three grandchildren: Gavin, Chelsea and Asia.
