Chief executive officer, Barclay Enterprises Inc. Barclay Enterprises Inc., the parent company of 10 Jiffy Lubes and five Auto Magic car washes in Springfield and Little Rock, Ark., was started by Bill Barclay in 1957. Nichols has been the CEO of Barclay Enterprises and its subsidiary, LR Lubrication Inc., since 1997. Early career: Nichols began his career while still in college, working with the Swisshelm Group Inc., a large regional Burger King franchisee. Nichols stayed with Swisshelm for 11 years, leaving as the vice president of operations. He was hired as a senior consultant for Baird, Kurtz & Dobson in 1996, when he started a new general business consulting segment of BKD's consulting division. After a year with BKD, Nichols became the CEO of Barclay Enterprises.
Current projects: Nichols is working on building the new Auto Magic at 4115 S. Campbell, which he said is a revolutionary design that will save time for customers and move the majority of the employees to indoor work. "We're hoping this car wash will be a paradigm change in the way full-service car washes are designed in the future," Nichols said. Nichols is also completing a project to convert the used lube oil from Jiffy Lube to heat the air and water used in the Jiffy Lube and Auto Magic facilities.
