The hospital in small-town Gravette, Ark., closed in 2005 under previous ownership for financial reasons. Ozarks Community Hospital bought its operations last year.
Initially, the facility will have 25 inpatient beds and a 24-hour emergency room, according to a news release.
Doctors Hospital became the not-for-profit Ozarks Community Hospital at the beginning of this year. The new status opens doors to additional funding options that aren’t available to for-profit hospitals.
