The Ozark School District Board of Education voted last week to promote Kim Fitzpatrick to an executive position.
Fitzpatrick, 14-year principal of the district's South Elementary, was promoted to executive director of student services, starting with the 2021-22 academic year, according to a news release. The executive position oversees federal programs, the district's health services department, school resource officers and counselors, and student interventions.
“Fitzpatrick brings a wealth of K-12 experience as both a teacher and an administrator in the elementary and secondary realms,” said Craig Carson, assistant superintendent of learning, in the release. “Her love for Ozark is only overshadowed by her love for each student and their growth."
Fitzpatrick succeeds Gerald Chambers, who was named executive director of secondary learning. The director that holds that post, Melia Franklin, was hired as superintendent of the Sturgeon School District, according to the release.
