The Ozark School District rehired a former network and cybersecurity employee to oversee its technology department.
The district’s Board of Education recently voted to hire Jeramie Price as director of technology. He will start July 1.
Price spent 10 years working for the technology department in the Ozark district before accepting a job in November 2022 as director of technology for the Sparta R-III School District.
“Coming back to the district that first shaped my career in education, in the same community my family calls home, is both meaningful and exciting,” Price said in a March 30 news release. “I look forward to helping develop and inspire students while preparing them for success in a world increasingly shaped by technology."
Price has a bachelor’s degree in information technology management and a master’s degree in cybersecurity and information assurance from Western Governors University. He will oversee the district’s technology, network and cybersecurity systems.
He will replace Kyle Anderson, who is retiring after 30 years in the district. He has served as director of technology since 2013.
“Kyle has been a valued member of Ozark schools since 1998. He witnessed a lot of changes in the tech department and has played a key role in guiding the district through significant technological advancements,” said Landon Gray, executive director of finance and business, in the release. “I’m confident Jeramie will continue that tradition of excellence, bringing both strong leadership and a forward-thinking approach to support our students and staff.”
