Hewitt served for four years at the helm of the Ozark Mountain YMCA branch, which opened its doors in Hollister in 2001. Its current location, 175 Industrial Drive, comprises 23,000 square feet, with Paramount strength equipment, free weights, cardio machines, aerobics, gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, a game room and a conference room for parties and meetings. The branch also provides Prime Time after-school child care in the Branson and Hollister schools.
Hewitt will remain with the YMCA, working in child care at the G. Pearson Ward YMCA branch in downtown Springfield.
“Jen is an excellent asset to our organization, and we are pleased she has chosen to continue her service in the child care branch,” said Ozarks Regional YMCA CEO Brad Toft, in the release. “She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will be essential as we continue to grow and serve our communities.”
Toft noted that a national search will be conducted to fill the vacancy at the Ozark Mountain branch, and a new executive director is expected to be chosen by the end of the summer.
