The restaurant at the focal point of the Finley Farms development in Ozark is now open for business.
The 3,713-square-foot Ozark Mill Restaurant debuted Sept. 3, according to a news release.
"We are so honored to be reopening the historic Ozark Mill," said Megan Stack, daughter of owner Johnny Morris and leader of operations of Finley Farms, in the release. "Countless hours have been spent restoring the mill to create a place for the community to gather and celebrate.
"We're grateful for the hard work and passion our team, mill experts, historians and community members have contributed to preserving this special place."
Led by Executive Chef Kevin Korman, the newly opened restaurant has locally sourced ingredients and dishes such as short rib pasta, crispy catfish, ricotta ravioli and sourdough pizza. The dining area offers views of the Finley River and the Riverside Bridge, which was relocated downstream to the Finley Farms development area.
Morris’ 32-acre Finley Farms is a redevelopment of the Ozark Mill property established in 1833. The mill, which sits on the bank of the Finley River, ceased operations in 1992.
Nearby on-site is the Ozark Farmers Market and The Workshop, a craft-making space and coffeehouse. A bar called The Garrison inside of the mill and a small, open-air event venue, The Chapel, are among other planned features at Finley Farms, according to past reporting.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
