Ozark manufacturer to use loan for expansion

Posted online
The city of Ozark has been awarded a $480,000 Missouri Action Fund Loan to assist one of the city’s fastest-growing companies in preparing for its projected growth, according to the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

The loan will be used to cover Mostly Memories Inc.’s expenses for working capital, which is expected to result in 22 new jobs and the company’s capital investment of more than $1.2 million, the DED announced today.

Specifically, the Ozark-based candle manufacturer will use the loan to “help expand some custom products for some large corporate accounts,” according to owner Tricia Derges, who declined to comment further citing client confidentiality.

Mostly Memories has about 110 sales representatives across the country and about 6,700 active accounts, according to its Web site.

The loan is through the state’s Community Development Block Grant program.
