Springfield, MO
The city issued a request for proposals March 21; the deadline is April 11.
The request comes nearly three weeks after the city severed its agreement with Finley River Development LLC, led by architect Bo Hagerman of Springfield-based Hagerman New Urbanism. The firm worked with the city since 2005 on the 47-acre Finley River project, but both sides stepped away when financing did not come together as planned.
The project covers blighted land between the Finley River and downtown Ozark, and the city is calling for a mix of residential, commercial and retail. The new request stipulates that proposals conform to the architecture of the central business district, include between 5,000 square feet and 30,000-plus square feet of retail space and demonstrate that the developer has the necessary financial resources.
Interested developers should call (417) 581-2407 or submit proposals to the city clerk at City Hall, 205 N. First St., PO Box 295, Ozark, MO, 65721.
Finley River Neighborhood Redevelopment District plans, maps and additional information is available at the city’s Web site, www.ozarkmissouri.com.
