The Home Brewery, a home-brewing venture in business for around four decades, is closing up shop.
Owners Todd and Sheri Frye earlier this month announced the closure in a post on the Ozark company's Facebook page.
"We will miss being involved in this business, but it is time for us to move on to our next chapter," the post reads. "While we don’t have an exact closing date yet, we plan on placing regular orders for at least the next few months."
Additionally, the Fryes said, "We would love to see someone fill the void this closure will undoubtedly create, and we are open to discussing your offers and ideas. You know where to find us if you want to talk."
The Home Brewery is a retailer of supplies for home brewing, winemaking and cheese making.
The Fryes purchased the business in 1999 from founder Sam Wammack, who retired, according to Springfield Business Journal archives. Wammack started the store in 1984 as a mail-order business.
In 2011, the Fryes moved The Home Brewery to its current home at 1967 W. Boat St. after previously operating at 205 W. Bain St. in Ozark, according to SBJ archives.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
