The 16th annual meeting, at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center, 4600 S. Chrisman, is free and open to the public.
A social hour with appetizers kicks off the meeting at 6 p.m. That will be followed by a board election and awards ceremony at 6:45 p.m. Three board members are up for re-election: Rod Nichols, JD Slaughter and Gene McKeen. Richard Rice, Jason Smith and Tom Goss are running for the first time.
At 7:15 p.m., attendees will hear a presentation about the organization’s accomplishments in the last 15 years and its direction for the future. Featured guest John Robinson, former director of the Missouri Division of Tourism, will speak at 7:30 p.m.
