Work is under way on a 73,750-square-foot community center, dubbed The OC, in Ozark. Charlie Weaver, project superintendent with general contractor Branco Enterprises Inc. of Neosho, said the anticipated completion date of the project has been pushed to June from May due to the amount of underground rock encountered. The center’s amenities include two gymnasiums, a fitness center, three community meeting rooms, an on-site café, and a jogging and walking track. The architect is Sapp Design Associates Architects PC. Engineers are Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and Columbia-based Allstate Consultants, structural. The design work for two pools – one zero-entry with an exterior slide and one four-lane lap pool, were designed by Waters Edge Aquatic Design of Lenexa, Kan., Weaver said. [[In-content Ad]]
