Owner of Burger King, Tim Hortons boosts profits

Restaurant Brands International, the owner of Burger King and Tim Hortons, reported increased quarterly profits.

Third-quarter net income attributable to shareholders moved up to $86.3 million, or 36 cents per share, from $49.6 million, or 24 cents per share, a year earlier.

Revenue rose 5.5 percent to $1.1 billion.
