Overland Park Pizza Hut franchisee files for bankruptcy

Overland Park, Kansas-based Pizza Hut franchisee Keystone Pizza Partners LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy this month.

The company reported more than $7 million in liabilities and roughly $3.5 million in assets. Pizza Hut is the largest unsecured creditor; Keystone Pizza Partners owes the company more than $1.1 million in royalties.

Keystone Pizza Partners already was struggling before the coronavirus pandemic, with a 2019 net loss of $527,717.
