Overland Park data center provider bulks up with $326M acquisition

Overland Park, Kan.-based data center operator QTS Realty Trust Inc. (NYSE: QTS) on Wednesday acquired Virginia-based Carpathia Hosting Inc. for $326 million.

QTS, which operates 12 data centers in eight states, will strengthen its existing, fully integrated real estate and technology services platform with the addition of Carpathia, which is known as a cloud and managed services provider, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

The combined company will serve over 1,000 customers in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
