Outside groups investing in Blunt-Kander Senate race

Outside groups are taking an interest in the Missouri Senate race between incumbent Republican Sen. Roy Blunt and his Democratic challenger, Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander.

A super PAC associated with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., on Tuesday launched a $2.5 million TV ad campaign attacking Kander, calling him "too liberal."

The Senate Democrats’ campaign committee is planning to spend $1.5 million to boost Kander.
