Daniel Zhang, the outgoing CEO of Alibaba, has resigned as its cloud computing unit leader.
Zhang was chair and CEO of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group since 2022, and he also concurrently served as Alibaba CEO since 2015 and chair since 2019, CNBC reports. Alibaba announced earlier this year he would focus on the cloud unit.
Eddie Wu, who was set to take over from Zhang as CEO and director of Alibaba, also will serve as the leader of the cloud unit.
