Five amendments to the 2007–2010 Transportation Improvement Program for the Ozarks are up for public review until Thursday.

The Ozarks Transportation Organization has put the proposed amendments up for review at its office, on the third floor of the Busch Municipal Building, 840 Boonville Ave.

To be eligible for federal funding, a project must be included in the Transportation Improvement Program.

The amendments are:

• A Park Central Square streetscape project;

• Interchange improvements to Interstate 44 and Chestnut Expressway;

• The Glenstone Avenue/I-44 project;

• A funding adjustment to the Midfield Terminal Access Road to include a federal earmark; and

• More funding for the Glenstone Avenue/James River Freeway interchange to include improvements to Republic Road.

Comments may be submitted by mail to OTO, PO Box 8368, 840 Boonville Ave., Springfield, MO, 65801; by e-mail to sedwards@ci.springfield.mo.us; or by fax to (417) 864-1881.

The Metropolitan Planning Organization board of directors will consider the amendments at its June 14 meeting, noon–1 p.m. in the fourth-floor conference room of the Busch building. Additional public comment will be taken at the meeting.[[In-content Ad]]
