OTC unveils Lebanon expansion

Posted online
Aided by the largest donation ever received by the college, Ozarks Technical Community College today will host an open house showcasing the expansion of the OTC Lebanon Center into a full campus.

Guest speakers, starting at 10 a.m., are U.S. Representative Billy Long; Missouri State Representative Darrell Pollock; Brad Brown, vice president and general manager of Missouri Eagle LLC in Lebanon; and Byron Dudley, president of the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, according to a news release.

The final touches are being placed on the OTC Lebanon Center's Casey Hall, named after Reuben and Mary Lou Casey, of San Clemente, Calif., who provided two buildings and 13 acres of land, valued at $2.6 million, the largest gift in school history.

Casey Hall is comprised of 13 classrooms, a student lounge and a student services department. The building east of Casey Hall is home to a Center for Workforce Development office, a branch of the OTC Bookstore and technical education programs, the release said.

Through Rotary Club, the Caseys are friends with the former director of OTC's Lebanon Education Center, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

The open house is being held 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the campus, 22360 Highway MM.[[In-content Ad]]
