O’Reilly Automotive executives Charlie, Larry and David O’Reilly and Rosalie O’Reilly Wooten will receive the Excellence in Business Award from Ozarks Technical Community College in a March 17 presentation at Information Commons West on the OTC campus.
The event will feature a conversation with the four family members, conducted by Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce President Jim Anderson. Afterward, OTC President Norman Myers will present the O’Reillys with the award, which was created by the OTC Students in Free Enterprise team.
“We really like how they have shared their success with the community,” said Carla Johnson, OTC SIFE student vice president, in a news release. “They are a very humble family with a great reputation.”
Tickets for the event, which is sponsored by Springfield Business Journal, Mediacom, OnMedia and Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Doors open at 1 p.m., and light refreshments will be served. Reservations and tickets are available from the OTC Continuing Education Center by calling (417) 447-8888.
This is the second year for the award. The first recipient was Springfield developer John Q. Hammons.
