Ozarks Technical Community College President Hal Higdon has been elected vice president of the Presidents and Chancellors Council of the Missouri Community College Association.

The council represents the interests of Missouri community college interests before the state legislature and professional and government agencies, and it maintains communication between colleges, according to an OTC news release.

The council’s president is North Central Missouri College President Neil Nuttall, and president-elect is St. Louis Community College President Marcia Pfeiffer, the release said.

Higdon joined OTC in July 2006. He previously was vice president for administration at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
