OTC president named chair of statewide community college council

Posted online
Ozarks Technical Community College President Hal Higdon has been given the position of chair of the Presidents/Chancellors Council of the Missouri Community College Association.

The MCCA represents Missouri's 12 community college systems by encouraging the academic and professional development of the students, faculty, staff and trustees, according to its Web site.

The Presidents/Chancellors Council's purposes are to articulate the position of the MCCA and to keep up communication with school officials, state governmental agencies and other related professional associations, according to the site.

Higdon has been the president of OTC since July 2006, according to an OTC news release.

Serving as chair of the MCCA's council will not take away from Higdon's duties at OTC, said Dana Logsdon, OTC coordinator of public information.[[In-content Ad]]
