OTC offers in-state tuition to select Ark. residents

Posted online
Ozarks Technical Community College is extending in-state tuition costs to Arkansas residents in three counties.

Starting with the fall semester, students from Arkansas and Missouri border counties of Boone, Carroll and Marion will be eligible for in-state tuition, which equates to savings of roughly $41 per credit hour, or $492 per full-time student, according to a news release.

"With the opening of our new OTC Table Rock campus in Hollister, it will be easier than ever before for students from northern Arkansas to complete an associate degree or certificate at OTC," Chancellor Hal Higdon said in the release. "These counties can now enjoy an additional benefit of living so close to campus, despite the state lines."

The Table Rock campus sits roughly 10 miles from the Arkansas border. The roughly $12.7 million, nine-acre campus is scheduled for completion July 31 in time for its first semester this fall, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.
