The new clinic, which opens today, is available to full-time employees and their dependents free of charge as part of the school’s effort to control health care costs, according to a news release.
The clinic is located in Lincoln Hall on the main campus. Basic services are offered, including electrocardiograms, annual physicals, Pap smears, prostate and skin examinations, immunizations, disease management, acute care and minor surgery.
Dr. Jim Blaine is leading the center. He has been practicing medicine in the Springfield area for 30 years, and he also operates the on-site medical clinic at Paul Mueller Co.
