Associated General Contractors of Missouri has enlisted Ozarks Technical Community College to provide safety training for its member companies throughout the state.
OTC's Center for Workforce Development will supply qualified instructors for a 10-hour safety training program developed by a subcommittee of the AGC of Missouri Safety Committee, according to a news release.
The program will assist AGC member companies by ensuring their employees meet new state requirements for safety training. Classes will be held throughout the region, and are expected to begin in January, according to the release.

OTC's Center for Workforce Development specializes in building leadership and developing the local work force by providing training options, including courses in lean manufacturing, management development, and quality and process improvement, as well as computer and technical workshops. The center also is an authorized OSHA Training Institute provider and operates the Transport Training Institute, a commercial truck driver training program based in Ozark.
Founded in 1925, the Missouri chapter of AGC serves as an advocacy group for heavy, highway and municipal utility contractors, according to its Web site, www.agcmo.org. AGC has about 150 affiliate members and about 80 contractor members, according to the Web site.[[In-content Ad]]
