Original videotapes of the Apollo 11 landing sold for $1.8 million at auction.
Gary George, who was an intern at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, originally bought the tapes for roughly $218 at a government surplus auction in 1976.
The tapes show Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong stepping onto the moon in July 1969.
