O’Reilly Hospitality opens first hotel in Nebraska

Yesterday marked a first for both Springfield-based O’Reilly Hospitality Management LLC and Rockville, Maryland-based Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH).

Both companies opened their first hotel in Nebraska, dubbed Cambria Hotel Omaha Downtown. O’Reilly Hospitality CEO Tim O’Reilly participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony with other officials involved in the development. The hotel also represented a partnership between O’Reilly Hospitality and Robert Low, founder and CEO of Prime Inc., according to a news release.

O’Reilly Hospitality spokeswoman Tara Tyson declined to disclose the cost of the 128-room hotel, a Choice Hotels International brand.

"We've worked with Choice Hotels and the Cambria brand for many years, so we knew its unique approach to upscale – for both guests and developers – would resonate strongly in Omaha,” O’Reilly said in the release “Choice has been an incredible resource in helping us bring this project to fruition, and we look forward to expanding our Cambria portfolio in the coming years.”

With 26 properties currently in its portfolio, O’Reilly Hospitality previously developed three Cambria locations in Arizona and Texas. Others are planned in Louisville, Kentucky, and Sarasota, Florida. The most recent Cambria from O’Reilly Hospitality opened in the Phoenix Market in late 2017.

In Springfield, O’Reilly Hospitality has been busy completing projects on the north side, including its Moon Town Crossing development and expanded meeting space at its DoubleTree by Hilton.
